Cabaña Chachimbiro es un proyecto integral de arquitectura, paisajismo y agroturismo.
UBICACIÓN
Está ubicado en Chachimbiro, rincón rural en Imbabura, Ecuador. Situado estratégicamente, el terreno se encuentra abrazado al norte por la vía que lleva a las cautivadoras piscinas de agua termal, mientras que al sur se delimita con una quebrada cubierta de vegetación nativa.
VISIÓN y armonía con el entorno:
La cabaña, concebida para uso turístico, se integra de manera respetuosa en una zona rural con fuerte vocación agrícola y la cercanía a las piscinas termales de origen natural. Gracias a la visión de sus propietarios, el proyecto revaloriza todas las oportunidades que ofrece el lugar.
ARQUITECTURA
El equipo de profesionales conformado por Jorge Andrade, Gabriela Naranjo, Emilio Thodes y Verónica León, crean una vivienda mínima para una experiencia máxima. El proyecto es un testimonio de la exploración de la vivienda mínima, priorizando áreas comunes sobre las privadas. El diseño, a cargo de expertos, incorpora técnicas constructivas y materiales locales, con actualizaciones estructurales que garantizan la seguridad frente a sismos.
Chachimbiro Cabin: A Holistic Project of Architecture, Landscaping, and Agritourism.**
LOCATION
Situated in Chachimbiro, a rural gem in Imbabura, Ecuador, this project is strategically positioned. The land is embraced to the north by the road leading to captivating thermal water pools, while to the south, it is bordered by a lush, vegetation-covered ravine.
VISION and Harmony with the Environment:
Conceived for tourist use, the cabin harmoniously integrates into a rural area with a strong agricultural vocation, and proximity to natural thermal pools. Thanks to the vision of its owners, the project revalues all the opportunities that the location offers.
ARCHITECTURE:
Crafted by the professional team led by Jorge Andrade, Gabriela Naranjo, Emilio Thodes, and Verónica León, the cabin embodies the concept of minimal living for a maximum experience. The project testifies to the exploration of minimal dwelling, prioritizing communal spaces over private ones. The design, executed by experts, incorporates local construction techniques and materials, with structural updates ensuring resilience against seismic activity.
PAISAJISMO
El proyecto paisajístico y el emplazamiento de la cabaña aprovecha la vista panorámica de un valle inferior, enriquecido por un arroyo que aporta vida natural al entorno.
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
The landscaping project and the positioning of the cabin capitalize on the panoramic view of a lower valley, enriched by a stream that brings natural life to the surroundings.
NATURALEZA DEL LUGAR
La componente paisajística del proyecto es un homenaje a la belleza natural, reservando extensas áreas para herbáceas silvestres. Además, hemos el área comunal alberga diversas actividades: área social, zona de parrilla, comedor, hamacas, lazar sacos, muro de escalada, barras de calistenia, círculo de fuego, estanque, senderos y un mirador que sobresale y se eleva sobre la quebrada.
NATURE
The landscaping component of the project pays homage to the natural beauty, preserving extensive areas for wild herbs. Furthermore, the communal area hosts various activities: social space, grill zone, dining area, hammocks, sack race, climbing wall, calisthenics bars, fire pit, pond, trails, and an elevated viewpoint that stands out over the ravine.
SOSTENIBILIDAD
Comprometidos con la sostenibilidad, hemos implementado prácticas como cerramientos vegetales, huertos, árboles frutales y la recolección de agua lluvia para riego. Este proyecto es una sinfonía entre la arquitectura vernácula y el respeto por la naturaleza, creando un refugio donde la innovación y la tradición convergen en perfecta armonía.

Committed to sustainability, we have implemented practices such as vegetal enclosures, orchards, fruit trees, and rainwater harvesting for irrigation.
