Recorrido de espacios recreativos
Carcelén bajo es un barrio al norte de Quito emplazado en un cerro con gran pendiente en los límites. En la parte plana se ha trazado una retícula vial ortogonal, que no se adapta al accidente topográfico.
La dirección de crecimiento hacia los bordes no está pensada para el peatón. El escaso espacio público no es amigable con el habitante. Los recorridos y relaciones del ciudadano con el lugar se concentran dentro del cerro. Se mantiene una lectura homogenia del entorno físico y social.
Carcelén Bajo is a neighborhood at the north of Quito, located on a hill with steep slopes in the limits. In the flat part an orthogonal road grid has been drawn, which does not adapt to the topographic accident. The direction of growth towards the edges is not intended for the pedestrian. The scarce public space is not friendly with the population. The routes and relations of the citizen with the place are concentrated within the hill. A homogenia reading of the physical and social environment is maintained.
Por estas características, se proyecta espacios de recreación y educación. Dando un escape del diario vivir, de lo cotidiano, de las exigencias del mundo actual. Espacios con diferentes actividadescon libertad de elegir.
La idea es romper con la homogeneidad del contexto, enfatizar las visuales hacia el entorno que rodea el cerro. No tener relación con la realidad existente para así escapar de la improvisación de Carcelén bajo.
Se dibuja un prisma curvilíneo que re-marca los
límites del cerro. El volumen inicia su recorrido
conectado al final de la vía de mayor tránsito. A medida que se recorre en la gran rampa; el suelo se va alejando.
En este deambular se van encontrando diferentes espacios con actividades artísticas y deportivas.
Spaces for recreation and education are projected. Giving an escape from daily life, from everyday, from the demands of today's world. Spaces with different activities with freedom to choose.
The idea is to break with the homogeneity of the context, to emphasize the visuals towards the environment that surrounds the hill. Not having a relationship with the existing reality in order to escape from the improvisation of Carcelén bajo.
A curvilinear prism is drawn that re-marks the limits of the hill. The volume starts its route connected to the end of the road with the highest point. As you walk on the large ramp; the ground is moving down.
In this wanderings different spaces are found with artistic and sports activities.
